It’s not Easy to Bring a Child to the World

It was my first pregnancy and I was 32. It’s easy to get pregnant - happened exactly as planned. I'd already bought myself nursing dresses for when the baby was born - talk about forward planning!
But before we had time to celebrate the good luck nightmare began. Form the 30th day onward, I had no appetite. I couldn’t actually smell any food, not to mention to eat. It was frustrating and scary. I was so worried that the baby could be starved to death. Fortunately my mother in law used to be a nurse so she did I.V.T for me at home, for about 6 hours everyday. Finally when I started to eat one month later, I was told by the doctor the bay lacked oxygen. So I went to the hospital everyday for one hour breath of oxygen. In addition, we rented two oxygen bags from the hospital and my husband had to travel between the hospital and home to ensure my oxygen supply at night. As the baby grew (thank God), the normal oxygen supply couldn’t meet her demand, she needed high-pressure oxygen! Then for another 20 days, I had to visit the hospital everyday to sit in the “space shuttle” (I gave the oxygen chamber this name because of its strange shape) for one hour…well, the good thing is that my daughter is 14 now and she is like an angel, happy and healthy, making all the troubles and pains worthwhile.
